Preparing for the 2024 November General Election

The November General Election will be held in the City of Hamtramck on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, and all polling locations are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. The Clerk’s Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with extended hours offered on Saturday, November 2nd from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Absent voter ballots are available for pick up at the City Clerk’s Office until 4:00 pm on November 4th, and eligible residents may register to vote until 8:00 pm on Election Day. After October 21st, voter registration must be done in-person at the City Clerk’s Office with proof of residency documentation. Early Voting

The following Early Voting site will be open for nine (9) consecutive days prior to Election Day, where voters can vote and cast their ballot into a tabulator as they would at a polling place on Election Day:

Drop Box Locations

Absent voter ballots and applications may be dropped off at the following 24-hour drop box location:

Hamtramck City Hall, 3401 Evaline St. Use the black drop box located in the front driveway of City Hall, or the drop box in the vestibule of City Hall.

Ballots may also be returned by mail (postage is pre-paid), or in person to the City Clerk’s Office.
