Overview
The City of Hamtramck continues to strive toward easing the process for home development throughout the City. As a way to streamline this process, developers can now use preapproved site plans, provided by the Michigan Municipal League, with the City of Hamtramck. Preapproved project plans will ensure developers that all City zoning and building codes are met, significantly shortening the wait time for plan approval for developers and other future City-investors.
Developers can have the option to use preapproved plans or have a licensed architect make alterations to the existing plans, so long as any alterations meet the City’s zoning ordinances and building codes. To access the City’s zoning ordinances, please visit American Legal
All future preapproved site plans will be noticed via the City’s Facebook page or through direct contact with the Community and Economic Development Department.
