The following Early Voting site will be open for nine (9) consecutive days prior to state and federal elections, where voters can vote and cast their ballot into a tabulator as they would at a polling place on Election Day:

Absent voter ballots and applications may be dropped off at the following 24-hour drop box location:
Hamtramck City Hall, 3401 Evaline St. Use the black drop box located in the front driveway of City Hall, or the drop box in the vestibule of City Hall.
Ballots may also be returned by mail (postage is pre-paid), or in person to the City Clerk’s Office.

New residents of Hamtramck may register to vote at City Hall, 3401 Evaline, Hamtramck, MI 48212, at any Secretary of State Branch Office, at certain state agencies, or by mail. Your voter registration is permanent; however, If you move from one community to another or change your name, you must re-register to vote. State law requires that you register to vote at the address shown on your Michigan Driver’s License.
You are qualified to vote if:
The City Clerk’s Office maintains a list of voters who are interested in receiving Absentee Ballot Applications prior to every election. There are no requirements to be placed on the list.
To request being placed on or removed off the permanent list, contact the Clerk’s Office at 313-800-5233 ext. 821.
If you have not received an Absent Voter Ballot Application from the clerk’s office, you may already be on the Permanent Ballot List. If this is the case, you will automatically receive your ballot before the next election without sending in an application. Check your registration status at:
