The Hamtramck Youth Advisory Council shall advise the City Council on issues directly affecting the future of the City’s youth, mobilize the youth in service of the community, and organize activities for the enrichment of young leaders.
(Chapter 30 of the Hamtramck code of ordinances & Section 32.020 – 32.022)
Appointed by mayor, The commission shall consist of nine (9) members (7) of residents of the City of Hamtramck, (1) one member who is over 21 years of age whose profession is engaged in work connected with youth, but may not serve as an officer or vote, (8) member local students, from the ages of thirteen (13) to eighteen (18) years when appointed. (1) Year Terms
